Hot Temperatures

posted in: Home Page News | 0

We certainly have been hit with a stretch of hot, humid weather that we weren’t expecting this fall.  This has made our school a hot place to be during the school day.  In order to help your children manage during this heat wave, please consider the following:

  • dress in cool clothing
  • drink lots of water – please send your child with a refillable water bottle that they can fill at one of our three bottle filling stations
  • report immediately to an adult if you feel dizzy, sick or have a headache

School staff are trying to ensure we all manage the heat well by taking advantage of cooler spaces inside and outside, limiting physical activity and providing extra snacks and water as needed.
