THE BEST SCHOOL IN TOWN!!”

Happy New Year and welcome back to everyone! I hope that you all enjoyed a very happy and relaxing holiday with family and friends.

Our Character Trait for the Month for December was compassion. Several groups of students and classes, took on extra projects to help others in our community. The neighbours from around BPS also generously donated to support families in need within our school.

A huge thank you to everyone who supported these worthy causes. Your generosity for others in our community is greatly appreciated and is a true sign of compassion.

Our elective program is up and running beginning February 5th. A wide variety of activities are available to students, so there is something for everyone to join! A huge thank you to Mrs. Aitken for all of the work she has done in organizing the elective program– it is a huge undertaking!

Another exciting event that is quickly approaching is the B.P.S. Coffee House. The School Council members have been busy planning an exciting evening with an “Olympic” theme. Please mark Thursday February 27th from 5:30—8:00 on your calendar as a special evening to enjoy!

As always, if you have any questions, comments or

concerns, please feel free to call, drop into the office or arrange an

appointment to see me.

Morning Drop off and Afternoon Pick up of Students:

In order to ensure supervision of our students it is important that they go directly to the playground when they are dropped off in the morning, rather than wandering into the school or waiting at the front of the school. At the end of the day, parents are asked to wait for their child in the front entrance or outside to avoid disturbing classes. Please do not go directly to classrooms before 3:10. If you need to speak to a teacher please wait until 3:15 when students are dismissed.
